It was a fact of everyday life that Nines was built to resist deviancy. He was tested, re-tested and then put through a couple more tests to be certain that there was no way any emotional shock or interfacing could induce it. Despite this, he was still a competent and respected member of the DPD and made a perfect partner for Gavin. No matter the how many jibes and insults were thrown at his head, Nines continued to work. Eventually even Gavin settled down and the antagonism became friendly ribbing - especially when Nines began to bring him coffee.
Another fact was that whenever anybody brought any food to the precinct, Gavin would always sidle up to them and quietly ask “no pineapple?”. His loathing of the fruit was renowned. If the offering had even traces of the stuff in it, he wouldn’t even go near the breakroom until even the last crumb had been cleared away.
It was a shame that a lot of people in the precinct loved pineapples. On the rare occasions that Fowler treated his team to muffins or other baked goods, while everyone was busy cooing over their choices, he’d slip past Gavin’s desk and put a separate, single box on his desk.
“No pineapples,” he murmur and Gavin would nod gratefully.

I have seen this car in person when it was on display at a casino in Nevada. This picture does not display the feeling you get when you realize all the violence that went along with the car.
